Venango County

Venango County was established on March 12, 1800 from Allegheny County and Lycoming County. The county was named for a corruption of the Lenape word onenge, meaning "otter".

Currently the Venango County Seat is located in Franklin and in addition the county government website is www.co.venango.pa.us
