Arenac County

Arenac County was founded on March 2 1831 (Organized on April 21 1883) from  unorganized territory. Annexed to Bay County in 1857. Reinstated from Bay County on April 21 1883.. This county was named for Pseudo-Native American name created by Henry Schoolcraft.

The Arenac County Seat is located in Standish also, the county government website is www.arenaccountygov.com/.
